What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows Neurodiversity UK as a charity to claim 25p of basic rate tax for every £1 donated by a UK taxpayer. This means that the donation is effectively increased by 25% at no extra cost to the donor. For example, a donation of £10 becomes £12.50 with Gift Aid.

Your donations will qualify as long as they’re not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April).

Who can be a gift aider?

Everyone who is a UK Taxpayer can be a gift aider, the following list is a non exhaustive list of those who can be gift aiders.

  • People who pay tax on their wage

  • Those who are on some benefits - ask us if you are unsure

  • People who pay tax on their pension i.e. personal and or state
