Neurospicy Tai Chi
Harold starting training in Tai Chi, Qigong and Traditional Chinese Kung Fu 25 years after being a fan of classic Kung Fu cinema. He spent the early part of training focusing on the martial arts side but after a serious health issue began working on the meditative and health side of Tai Chi so is well versed in many aspects of the system.
Tai Chi is a form of exercise from China that is practiced in a slow and meditative manner and is exemplified by images of groups of old ladies practicing in a parks together. And no they aren't practicing Tai Chi because they are old, quite the opposite they are old because they've been practicing Tai Chi.
Tai Chi is also an excellent method for neurodiverse people to learn about mindfulness and meditation as it uses a form of "Stimming" to create focus. It helps with balance, body awareness and hand-eye coordination.
Harold runs a neurodiverse friendly Tai Chi school in Belfast which is working to provide accessible teaching to the neurodiverse population in a neurodiverse way.
